We are pleased to share that Studio Davis has been chosen by the City of Portland to plan a much needed parking structure on the site of Portland’s Pioneer Square, which will return this formerly world-class parking ramp to its previous stature!
“It’s clear that the experiment to use this central site as some sort of civic ‘living room’ rather than car parking has failed,” said Studio Davis founder Brian Davis.
“Why anyone would want to use this precious space for food carts, concerts, movie screenings, festivals, and other manners of revelry when it could hold 500, maybe 600 parking stalls that would mostly sit unoccupied, is beyond me. And how is anyone even going to attend your woke hippie fests if there’s nowhere they can easily and freely store their personal property?” continued Davis, his voice eventually becoming inaudible due to the constant background noise of train horns and busses whizzing by.
Work on this project is scheduled to be completed by the end of April Fools’ Day.
