Wilsonville Parking Study and Development Code Updates

Studio Davis worked with the City of Wilsonville, Oregon, on two concurrent initiatives that will shape the future of parking in this city of 25,000 about 15 miles south of Portland. First, we are assisting the city in updating its code to comply with new rules under Oregon’s Climate Friendly and Equitable Communities (CFEC) program by removing minimum parking requirements and updating standards related to landscaping, electric vehicle charging, and pedestrian accessibility. The code updates went into effect in July, 2025.

Concurrently, we helped Wilsonville proactively plan for potential increased demand for parking by conducting a citywide parking study to comprehensively document existing conditions and identify where new demand is likely to manifest. The parking study examines commercial, residential, and mixed-use areas with the goal of identifying strategies from the Parking Management Jump Start Guide that can be readily adopted if and when issues arise throughout Wilsonville.
