Studio Davis helps communities understand who needs to get where, what options are available, and where the transportation system falls short. Our work connects mobility with land use, public services, and the everyday experience of reaching a destination.

Our approach

We combine field observation, mapping, analysis, and conversations with the people who use and provide transportation. In a downtown or station area, that might mean studying walking connections, curb activity, and site access. In a rural region, it can mean examining service gaps, long travel distances, provider capacity, and coordination.

Plans identify practical improvements and the partners, funding, and responsibilities needed to put them in place. Our ongoing West Virginia medical transportation study applies this approach across eight rural counties.
